objective / context

For FA26, Jordan Brand expanded The One beyond basketball and into culture. While the global platform searched for the next generation of greatness on the court, the Streetwear expression focused on the next generation of creative talent.

The challenge was to make Jordan feel locally relevant in key cities while reinforcing the Air Jordan 1's role as an enduring symbol of self-expression. Rather than speaking to culture from the outside, Jordan created opportunities for emerging creatives to become part of it. Through a series of local partnerships, workshops, and creator storytelling initiatives across Tokyo, Seoul, and Mexico City, the brand provided a platform for the next era of originators.

NARRATIVE FRAMEWORK

Our strategic belief was simple: culture moves forward through the people creating it.

Instead of celebrating established tastemakers, we focused on emerging creative voices shaping their cities today. The AJ1 became both a symbol and a canvas, connecting a new generation of designers, artists, and creators through a shared "Love of the Game" while allowing each city to express that idea through its own cultural lens. Jordan's role wasn't to define creativity, but to provide the platform, mentorship, and visibility for it to thrive.
